What supplies and/or knowledge do you think would be important in order to walk across the USA? - tent supplies
I am thinking seriously about it, when my contract in a few months. Obviously you need a tent, sleeping bag or some kind of role of sleep, a disaster kit, good moisture moisture-proof lighter or matches, and an idea of taking what in direction (a compass and a map?) As an aid to The first would be a necessity, like a flashlight. In preparation, I would like to learn as much as possible on grass compared edible and inedible in the United States, as someone recommend a good book with color photos and descriptions, etc. copuld?
I started in Philadelphia and my West Way, probably as straight as possible from the source. Of course, if I still ask myself if the weather is cooler I'll spend my way to the south. I think it sounds a bit incredible, and I want to hear from anyone who thinks they have to offer a good idea of what I need, or would be if someone made earlier, I would like to hear from you, especially about their experiences!

The only thing on your list that do not come directly to ....
SHOES!
You have to move different shoes, like a pair of good hiking boots, rain boots. I do not think you want sandals for any errors or something that snakes strike unless you are planning on the highway or on the road made on foot. So you might be able to use.
DO NOT FORGET THE MONEY AND ID! lol ...
(Cell phone could be useful too) .. lol ..
